What is Local Area Cloud (LACloud)?
LACloud is a local-area cloud: it shares, syncs, and backs up files directly between your own devices — Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, and Android — over your local network or your own VPN. Your files move device-to-device and never pass through a third-party cloud.
Is LACloud free?
Yes. LACloud is free for up to 2 devices with every feature included. An optional Pro plan adds unlimited devices.
Does LACloud store my files in the cloud?
No. Files transfer directly between your devices over your own network — they are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. Only a lightweight device registry is kept so your devices can find each other.
Can I transfer files between my phone and my PC with LACloud?
Yes. Send photos, videos, and any files between iPhone or Android and your PC, Mac, or Linux machine over Wi-Fi at full local-network speed — no cables and no cloud.
Is LACloud like AirDrop?
